2007 Seed Corn Quality Update - November
The following tables show our testing results from September 16 through November 15, 2007. This years standard (warm) germination percentages are very comparable to 2006. Tray cold test percentages are also tracking similar to 2006, though a slight dip is expressed for the week of Nov 1-15, 2007. The saturated cold test percentages are generally similar to 2006 percentages, however slightly lower. Insect resistant traits do show more problem lots for CB corn, mostly due to pollen availability issues (nick). Many of the problems are in a specific grade size and are being solved by conditioning and screen size selection.
