Trait Testing

Enzyme Linked Immunosorbant Assay (ELISA)
Enzyme Linked Immunosorbant Assay (ELISA) Works by trapping the transgenic protein on a 96 well plate by an antibody specifically designed for the particular transgenic protein. The detection of the trapped transgenic protein is shown with the change in color of a substrate that reacts with an enzyme attached to the antibody.

Specialized Testing - Breeder
Seed is tested individually in a sequential sampling scheme to minimize testing costs while confirming trait presence. While for Leaf, material can be tested to reduce labor and time in the field in the development of lines that may not contain the desired trait. We offer this service at less than the cost of a lateral flow strip test.

Quantitative Cry1Ab Cry1f
Levels of Cry1Ab can be determined in seedlings instead of timely field growouts and ratings. This results in a savings of time and money. Thirty seeds are required, grown to a four-leaf stage, harvested and then tested. This test may require up to five or six weeks to complete.
